Kim Valentine is an emerging artist from Ottawa Canada.
Kim enjoys painting with oils on canvas, wood, and whatever else she can get her hands on.
Painting out of her home in Ottawa’s south end, her studio is affectionately called The Artery, and is managed by her cat.
When not painting, Kim is often playing ukulele, or riding her bike. Always with a coffee nearby.
Artist Statement
Art should be fun. Art is fun.
For me, art is an expression of what’s happening in my heart, and mind. A visual translation of who I am at that moment. So, it’s always changing.
My art comes from a desire to play. I want to let go, and painting allows me to do just that. I am so happy when I'm painting, and I think that you can see that in my art.
I want you to see that art is fun, and playful, and accessible.
